6th Grade (2019-2020)

"Riveting Roller Coasters" - As Roller Coaster Designers, students had to use 12' of foam piping and duct tape to create a two inversion roller coaster track for marbles.  Students had to determine the speed of various starting points.

"Christmas Lights" - As electrical engineers, students were challenged to light up Christmas Lights by (that had been cut apart) by creating a closed circuit using only foil, tape, and a 9V battery.

"Light Sabers" - In honor of the final Star Wars movie coming out, "Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker," we continued our work with circuits by constructing light sabers!  For this project, we added a switch to allow the light saber to be turned on and off.  The materials that were used were a "watch" battery, glue stick, 3 large craft sticks, electrical tape, and copper foil tape.
