"Perfect Playground" - As playground designers, 1st graders developed their idea out of a “Perfect Playground” out of playdough, dixie cups, pipe cleaners, and more.

"Coloring Mixing" - Much of this quarter has been discovering that we can use primary colors to make new colors. We used markers on coffee filters and then sprayed water on them to create a tie-dye effect; we also watched how the colors of M&M’s can spread to make new colors as well.

"Just Right Challenge" - After reading "Goldilocks and the Three Bears," students had to work in groups as furniture designers to plan and create furniture that would fit each member of the bear family - Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. Each bear must had to have a specially designed chair, bowl for porridge, and bed that fit each of them "just right."
